RF Planning Engineer
The RF Planning Engineer will be required to independently perform RF network design and optimization activities during network rollout phase in cooperation with other parties such as site acquisition, implementation, backhaul design, and network integration.
Required Competencies and Skills:
• Perform link budget analysis, understand and utilize design criteria including coverage and traffic analysis
• Ensure data integrity of various morphology/topography databases and drive testing data for model tuning and calibration
• Perform nominal and detailed RF design, including site selection and site acquisition support
• Perform technical site survey
• Analyze and recommend equipment and antenna co-location requirements for different technologies
• Perform site build verification and acceptance
• Create site data-fills to support site integration
• Undertake network optimization and performance improvement tasks to achieve predefined key performance indicators (KPI)
Education & Experience or Other Requirements: • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or Computer Science
• Two years work experience in RF network design and optimization
• LTE technology understanding and know-how
