Clinical Documentation Coding Specialists

Coding Specialist will support the Clinical Documentation Specialists (CDS) in facilitating clinical documentation improvement. Duties include review of both current and retrospective medical records to identify documentation issues as they relate to ICD9 coding principles and DRG assignment. There is extensive day to day interaction with Coding staff, Team Leader and Manager.

Candidate will collect and analyze data and report on same. You will assist the CDSs and CDIP Manager in the identification of opportunities for improvement as they relate to physician extender education.
