Customer Service Representative (Sportwear)
This position requires the candidate to have one to two years of customer service experience, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle a wide variety of consumer/customer inquiries and requests. Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are essential. This position will be based out of Newark, NJ.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Process orders submitted through fax, phone, email as requested by dealers and/or vendors within specified timeline
Answer inquiries from consumers and vendors regarding status of orders, product information, and inventory status; includes recommending suitable products and upselling
Follow up on various order issues, including returns, chargebacks, delivery issues and exceptions
Work with supervisor to manage purchase orders, invoices to ensure timely deliveries and provide assistance regarding customer accounts
Assist with special projects as needed
Assist with packaging and delivery of orders as assigned within a specific timeframe.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have:
A minimum of 2 years of customer service or retail experience in related field
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write business letters
Demonstrated computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and databases)
The ability to prioritize work and follow tasks through to completion
Sporting goods industry experience is an asset
Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to travel within New Jersey
Ability to do some nights and weekend hours
Bi-lingual in Spanish/English a +
